Preschool preperation program is a milestone - Pravin Munjamkar

School Preparation An Innovative Initiative Under the Government of Maharashtra and STARS project, an innovative initiative has been taken up to prepare the students for school by implementing the School Preparatory Campaign in the whole of Maharashtra.With proper practice of these eight worksheets in eight weeks, students develop specific language and basic math skills that will make them love learning in Grade 1.
In the Pre-School Preparatory Mission, first of all, a meeting is organized for the first class students and their abilities are explored, in which the students are tested in seven stages such as name registration, physical development, linguistic development, social development, emotional development, mathematical development and distribution of certificates.
In this, students are made to practice activities by parents and teachers which makes students interested in learning. Here students' physical skills, language skills and basic mathematical abilities are developed so that when the students enter the first grade, the students will develop interest in studies.
To make up for the shortfall in student learning after the covid era, school-wise preparation was started in Maharashtra through such gatherings in which the STARS project is playing an important role. 37 students were prepared by admitting them to my school.
I can definitely say from the example of my school that due to this initiative being implemented all over Maharashtra, the quantity and quality of children admitted to class 1 in tribal districts like Gadchiroli is definitely increasing.
The entire Panchayat Samiti team of Gadchiroli district and the principal of Diet who guides them and the entire team of Diet are well prepared for this work, so the activity is successful as the updates of various activities are conveyed to the teachers and students.
This effort to provide quality education to the students at the grassroot level is commendable and successful which is reflected in the increase in the number of students and is an important step towards quality education hence the name First Step in Preparatory School.
Such pre-school preperation activities are being welcomed by students, parents and teachers. This initiative of the Maharashtra government is very appropriate and seems to be successful in bringing about significant changes in the education sector.
